MYINIA provides general exercise information for healthy adults. It is not medical advice and does not replace a doctor, physiotherapist or qualified coach.
Talk to a professional first if
- You have a medical condition, heart or blood-pressure concern, or take medication that affects exercise.
- You are pregnant or recently gave birth.
- You are recovering from injury or surgery, or have pain in the shoulders, elbows, wrists, back or neck.
- You have been inactive for a long time and are unsure how your body will respond.
Stop immediately if
You feel sharp or joint pain, dizziness, nausea, unusual shortness of breath or chest discomfort. Seek medical help when appropriate.
Equipment and setup
Pull-up exercises require a secure bar and, for assisted work, safe equipment such as a resistance band or sturdy chair. Check your setup, the bar's weight rating and the space around you before every session.
Form and effort
Use strict form, warm up, and stop each set 1-2 reps before your form breaks down. If a session feels too hard, rest longer, choose an easier variation or start a new challenge with a lower max.
No guarantees
Results vary with sleep, nutrition, consistency and starting point, and are not guaranteed. You exercise at your own risk. See also the Terms of Use.
